We had a pretty busy day yesterday, but I had wanted to take Michael and his friends to a fun place for a treat, because school is back in session tomorrow. Today is a teacher workday.
So we went to Skyzone. Whoever came up with this idea is brilliant. A huge room filled with trampolines, and the kids are happy campers. There is also dodgeball on trampoline, basketball, and diving. You can dive into a pit filled with foam.Cost is about $10/hour, per kid. There were probably 200 kids there during the two hours we were there.
When I was young I would've loved this place.
When we got there and checked in, I felt like my friend Cindy, who has about 6 big teenaged boys. The girl handed me a bunch of orange stickers and I turned around to put them on the boys' chests. I'm 5'3 and they are all [except Mike] around 6'0. The photo below illustrates this.
It's such a cute photo. I wish I had taken it with my good camera instead of my phone.I had set up camp in the Parent Zone - me, my purse, my book, a Diet Coke, and three pairs of enormous tennis shoes. And one pair of much smaller shoes [Mike's]. LOL
Of course, Mike and Colton together is a cute shot:
I came home and made a big pot of chili, and the boys stayed outside around the firepit all evening.
Mike had fun. I am always amused by the boys, and grateful that Michael has such a nice group of friends.
My favorite moments were driving back to the house after the Skyzone. There was a beautiful sunset and we were all marveling at the colors, and singing along to the songs on the radio.
Happy Monday!
