July 4, 2005
It's been a pretty uneventful day. Then again, at my age birthdays are more to ignore than celebrate.
The good news is that Mom is over her bug, and back to normal today, pretty much. I made her some shrimp salad and she ate it all, albeit for 2 meals. She still is only eating 1/2 - 1 cup of food per meal.
I saw "Bewitched" this afternoon. Cute but really mediocre. Nicole Kidman was a little too robotic and creepy. Will Ferrell was good as always, but trying a little too hard and somebody should tell him he is NOT attractive and/or sexy. Not at all.
Bruce came in late this afternoon. We went out to eat for my birthday, after visiting with Mom a while. I wanted to go to the Crescent Moon Cafe, but it was closed. We ended up at Red Lobster. It was really not bad. They make a good margarita.
Bruce brought me a large George Foreman grill for my birthday, which I requested. Should be a good thing when I am trying to fix food in a hurry, which is basically every evening. I have a small one but it's hard to cook on it for more than 1 person.
Alesia made me a cute birthday card, which I treasure.
I was going to try and take Alesia to see some fireworks, but by the time we got home from dinner it was 8:30 and pouring rain, so we skipped that. Maybe next year. I pray that life is finally back to normal by then.
