I have started working with Alesia on 4 new words, every day. Yesterday’s words were frustrate, curtain, wound, and enormous. Today’s words are terrified, shutter, wink opposite. I was amazed she didn’t understand the word “opposite.” I have been using it with her for months. At the end of today’s lesson we made up a sentence using all eight words – “I was terrified that the enormous monster would wound me, so I winked at him, grabbed a shutter, and beat him, then I tied him to the chair, which frustrated him.” Then we giggled a while.
We finished watching “It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World” a movie I own. She loved it. We had watched it before, months ago, but she didn’t really understand what was happening then. Now she can understand a lot more. A lot of it is slapstick, so it translates into any language.
There was nobody at work today. It was too quiet. I got my In box nearly completely cleaned out. Now I have back-burner projects like summaries to bore myself with for the next few days. Yawn.
I called here about 2:30 this afternoon, and Alesia answered. We chatted a few minutes, and I said “What are you doing?” She thought for a moment, and said “I’m sitting in your room, talking on the phone to you, Mom.” Like duh, you sure are slow, Mom! LOL.
