Alesia had a wonderful Halloween. Mine was OK. The moment I sat down to dinner the doorbell went crazy, which I knew would happen.
One little fellow listened to Coco's insane barking for a minute and said "It's OK about the dog barking. He' s a nice looking puppy." LOL Coco was safely behind the baby gate, of course.
Alesia wanted to go to bed at 8:30 last night, she was so tired. She looked like a real angel! [See new photos posted]. We also had a dummy sitting in a chair on the front porch, being attacked by a giant purple spider [see photos].
Dr. Federici sent me a great quote for the book jacket:
'Jack's New Family' provides an incredible "insider's view" of a Russian adopted youth's perception of transition, change and adaptation to a new family and culture. The author writes a very sensitive and honest account of Jack's emotional confusions and struggles, and his gradual movement towards stability. This book strongly emphasizes the importance of family understanding and proper direction in Jack's life's transition.
It feels like things are finally coming together, both for the book and the adoption. I'm starting to feel optimistic again.
