As
predicted, we have had a ton of rain all day. That’s OK – the drought goes on,
though. My rain guage says more than 4 inches, just on my back patio.
We
all slept in thie morning and ate a leisurely late breakfast. Michael had a
therapy appointment and then I took the kids to the movie.
We
saw Race to Witch Mountain - I was pleasantly surprised at how entertaining it was. The Rock actually
turned in a decent acting performance. It wasn’t Shakespeare, but it was
entertaining. The only thing that bugged me was Anna Robb's eyebrows. She's supposed to be blonde but she has wicked black eyebrows. It's disconcerting. [The photo below is from the movie.]
After the movie, we
met another family for an early dinner at Fuddruckers, and had a nice time. It’s
always fun to hang out with families with kids adopted from Kazakhstan or
Russia.
That’s all I know for now. Hopefully tomorrow we can buy groceries and get everything done…
Tomorrow it's supposed to be 55 and sunny. That's like a January day! Yikes!
