I have had a pretty hectic couple of days here, but I wanted to post something so y'all would know I am alive. Sweaty, but alive. My sinuses are killing me, but I'm alive.
I think I definitely now qualify as OLD because the highlight of my day was window shopping at CVS while waiting on one of Mother's prescriptions.
You know what my biggest struggle has been in the past few days? Watching The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded without falling asleep. I had to distract myself so I wouldn't fall asleep and start snoring, because that would've upset Michael. So I came up with some ways to not go insane or go to sleep while watching Keanu act his little heart out [snicker snicker].
How to Cope With Multiple Viewings of Matrix Movies Without Going Insane:
1. Study Trinity's nose. I know you can slice bread with it.
2. Speculate on who would win in a fair fight, Neo or Superman?? I think Neo would kick his ass.
3. Wonder if I should wear sunglasses inside so I will look cool. [I'm afraid with my bad eyesight I'd probably trip over something...]
4. Count the number of times Lawrence Fishburne intones "The One" during the film. How did he use that deep solemn voice and not break up laughing?!
5. Try to think of how to spell "Nebuchanezzer" correctly.
MORE FILM STUFF FROM THE BACK OF MY BRAIN
Michael and I have sort of a bet going about the new movie Cowboys and Aliens. I say it looks like the most idiotic movie ever and it will be a huge bomb. He says it's going to make a ton of money and be very popular.
Just watching the trailer makes me want to throw things at the screen.
Harrison Ford keeps getting more cranky and crusty with each new film role. I can see him at age 80 just sitting in a wheelchair and snarling at the camera. He'd probably win an oscar.
If you're my age or older and you want to watch something mind-blowing, check out the trailer for the new version of The Three Musketeers. Lots of action, lots of slow-mo fighting, and costumes. It's like the Matrix in 17th century France. It's disturbing. I liked the 1973 version, with Oliver Reed. He was a larger than life guy.
I used to be a big fan of Burt Reynolds, and where is he now?!
I'd like to write more but I have to go make dinner...
