It's been a stressful day, but at least I have eaten well. At my age, staring at 50 just around the corner, that's about all the compensation I can get.
Lots going on at work. I didn't have time to contemplate lunch until after 2. I had leftover crab cake and zucchini cake from lunch the other day at the Golden Dolphin. Even two days later the food was quite tasty.
I came home and got Mike and we took Coco to the vet to have her nails clipped. Coco was very cooperative throughout this. The original plan was to give her a bath but Mother said the nails were an issue and needed clipping. Tomorrow, hopefully, we can bathe her. She hasn't had a bath in months, due to her wound, and it's time. Thanks goodness she's so small. We can bathe her in the kitchen sink.
This is a shot of Coco as a puppy, when Mother still lived in Augusta. I had long hair.
For dinner I made lobster newburg. Bruce gave me 4 meaty lobster tails for my birthday back in July. Lobster is my favorite meat. Mom and I ate two of the Saturday night while Mike was at Colton's house. We cooked 2 and saved them. Tonight I made the newburg and it was heavenly. I asked Michael if he liked it. He said he preferred just meat dipped in butter. Yes, and I wish we could afford it more than once a year! We had to feed three people with two tails, so newburg was the solution. I also pigged out on fresh cantaloupe. So so yummy. Love good cantaloupe. Most of what you find in grocery stores is tasteless.
We watched a great film tonight after dinner. The Bucket List is one of my all-time fave movies. It really makes you think. Ironic that we watched it tonight, since I signed a will today. Had to be done, although it did feel a bit creepy. Wills are important, especially if you have children.
