It was a pleasant day yesterday, fairly unremarkable. I got very little done, but I needed a low-key day after last week's hustle and bustle.
Michael and I saw The Three Musketeers yesterday after our weekly trip to Kroger. I was not crazy about it, but it wasn't a total waste of time. The most annoying thing about it was the fact that much of the plot centered on the use of flying ships supposedly invented by DaVinci. In 17th century France? No way. The stunts and slow-mo were also annoying, just because they were so incongruous against the historic backdrop. There were also a bunch of kids running aorund in the theater acting annoying. On the bright side, I got to watch one of my fave actors, Matthew Macfadyen, who is awesome in everything he does, and has a lovely deep voice. If I were ten years younger and lived in England I'm afraid I'd be stalking that guy.
See, isn't he adorable?! This is from the miniseries Pillars of the Earth, which was awesome. I watched it on Netflix.
Today is Halloween and the plans are that Mike is going to trick or treat [Mother thinks he's too old but I think it's OK] and then he and his buddies will come back to our house and eat a bowl of chili before going home. I told Mike since it's a school night I want everyone home by 9 at the latest.
We live in a very established neighborhood with lots of kids so I know there will be lots of trick or treaters. I look forward to it every year. I just hope I have enough candy...
