Every so often life gets away from me and I wind up trying to run around frantically trying to fix stuff. The harder I grasp at a solution, the worse it gets. Reminds me of when I was a kid and Dad would take us fishing and I'd try and get the wriggling fish off the hook.
I felt like that yesterday. I tried to email a ginormous PDF and it got stuck in my Outbox and made my Outlook at work really slow. Talk about horrifying.
There was chocolate though...
There's little to report, but here are some things rattling around in my brain:
I had a nice lunch with my friend Maria. I hate that I have several good friends right here in town and I seldom get to see them. Life is too busy much of the time. We ate thai food, which is a favorite, but the soup was so spicy I had heartburn the rest of the afternoon.
Michael got Mother's Kindle set up and she has two books on there. She is a high tech Granny now!
It's hard to believe we are almost at the end of 2011. It was a rotten year for me in so many ways, but there were bright spots.
I got a job, which I like.
I had a luncheon last spring for many of my Hasty cousins in the area, and it was a lot of fun.
I did a radio interview with my friend Annmarie over at Vox Poetica.
I published a new book, The Warrior's Box, in June.
Soooo... despite Mother's hospitalization, Alesia's leaving home, and all the other dreck, life was not totally awful.
Pithy Quote: Don't fear change. Change fear! [saw this one on Facebook and had to copy]
Ponder that on a cold Thursday...
