Poor Michael has a horribly sore mouth. He's still getting in new teeth since the braces came off and everything in his mouth has shifted around. All I can say is, thanks be to God for Motrin.
He is scheduled for dental surgery in the morning. I am already planning what I can feed him. Definitely an omelet in the morning.
I had to work until 5:30 today, then pick up from the dry cleaner some pants I had gotten hemmed for Michael. They are still a bit long, but not comical. I asked him what he felt like eating for dinner, and got very little positive responses to anything. Finally I suggested a gyro from the Greek place we like. His whole face lit up.
Homerun.
It was actually COLD outside today. I wore a sweater, which was much needed this morning, then I got hot later in the afternoon. I have to remember to dress in layers.
Not much else to report. Received some happy news at work today, about a case I have a personal interest in - the only case I've ever prayed about. I can't reveal more, but I said a prayer of thanks when I heard the good news. Truly illustrates "When a door closes, God opens a window."
We watched a wonderful old movie the other day, one of my dad's favorites, The Bridge on the River Kwai. I remember after Dad saw it on TV he would go around whistling the theme song for days. Bruce was reluctant to watch it with Mike, because he said it was historically innacurate, but I persuaded him. He admitted later it was better than he remembered. He told Mike afterwards why the film wasn't totally accurate. I just enjoyed watching William Holden. What a hottie.
Here is a very funny video clip from the I Love Lucy show of William Holden. I guarantee you if you watch it you will laugh. Michael was in hysterics watching it with me.
I have to go find another blanket for the bed, so I won't freeze to death...
