The last couple of days have been a whirlwind of activity and there has been no time for blogging, but I will try to do a quick catchup here.
Sunday I spent most of the day cleaning up and cooking.Colton and his folks came over for dinner and I made lasagna and a big salad. I make lasagna the old-fahioned way. Takes a while. Instead of Italian sausage, I diced up some pepperoni in the sauce and I think it worked out better.
Everyone enjoyed the lasagna. Melanie brought a lemon torte for dessert and it was perfect - not so heavy. I need to get that recipe.
I so enjoyed just visiting with Melanie and her husband. Such nice folks.
Yesterday, I was going from early til late, until I fell into bed exhausted at 10:30.
Michael went to a new pediatrician here close to where we live early yesterday morning. I just got tired of driving 30 minutes to take him to a Russian speaking doctor when Mike doesn't even speak it any more. Michael has asthma and was having some symptoms at tennis and that worried me. The doctor gave Mike a new prescription and prescribed a spacer, which should help. He has asthma himself so he understands what to do.
He also gave me a referral for a dermatologist. I am reluctant, but the acne has gotten so bad, we have to do something.
I went to work, and then left early to drive something to Lawrenceville to be filed in court, which took a while. Then it was back to pick up Mike form school and take him to his first JV tennis match.
Michael plays on the high school JV team now, and in his first singles tennis match he WON. Yay!! Even though the strong of his racquet broke and he had to use a racquet he doesn't like, and it was bitter cold, and the other kid kept dithering around, Mike won. SO happy for him. Such a good boost to his confidence.
Came home and re-heated some lasagna for dinner, then packed two boxes of clothes for Alesia. She needed some decent interview clothes as she is trying to get a job. I take that as a positive sign. Had to go through her clothes and figure out some outfits, plus shoes, and it took a while.
Today is also busy but hopefully not as bad.
Y'all stay warm!
