Yesterday was a good day on a lot of levels. I got confirmation I am going to be able to go out of town for Easter, borrowing a friend's house at the beach - which is the only way I can afford to go anywhere. So now I am plotting, packing and planning what to take, but that's a pleasant obsession.
It will just be Michael and me. Bruce is coming in to stay with Mother. Traveling is hard for her now.
I haven't been anywhere out of town since May 2010. Last year we simply couldn't afford to go anywhere, even for a weekend.
I need a break. Just to be able to walk o the beach will be so nice.
Last night, Michael got to go see The Hunger Games [thanks Melanie!] for Colton's birthday celebration last night. I am so glad, because I didn't want to see that.Here's the whole gang last night at Colton's house. Mike said he should've worn a white shirt.
I bought some seeds last night, for cucumbers, zucchini, cantaloupes, and flowers. It will take a while to germinate them but that's OK. Growing things makes me feel hopeful.
