I decided yesterday was going to be all about leisure and I did very little all day that was useful. I spent a lot of time at the pool in the afternoon, chatting with other moms and watching the kids on eht diving board.
I am so thankful our pool has a diving board. Many places don't have them, due to insurance issues.
When I got there and headed to my usual spot, I saw a man hunched over in a chair, a towel draped over his head. I thought wow, that looks peculiar. It took me a minute to realize he was on a Kindle or possible a laptop, but I think it was a Kindle or a Nook. He was reading.
Personally, I wouldn't take a Kindle to the pool. I'd be too scared it would get ruined.
I made meatballs and fried pies for dinner last night. I've never made fried pies before. You just take a can of bisquit dough and roll out each bisquit, then put some fruit in the middle, fold the dough over and crimp the edges. We used canned pitted cherries. I should have rolled the dough thinner but otherwise they were very tasty.
Our movie last night was an old one "9 to 5" and I told Mike, that film came out the year I graduated from high school. The office had no computers in it and all the clerical workers still had dictaphones. Amazing how much has changed in 30+ years.
I was 19 years old and working at the bank one summer when I first was allowed to use a computer. It intimidated me. I avoided it as much as possible.
Not much else to say. Off to work. Happy Monday!
