OK, well, this is so far a really sucko Thanksgiving for me, as I have a miserable bad cold and cough.. but it looks like all my Facebook friends are gearing up for big gatherings of family and friends. Even if you're only in a small family unit, that's OK.
This is the one holiday that has nothing to do with religion, and so everybody feels included. Hopefully. Obviously there are some Native Americans who view Thanksgiving as a horrible reminder of the genocide of their people, but not all of them take that view.
I think we should simply view it as a day of giving thanks for all our blessings.
I am thankful that my brother is here, because he can fix our Thanksgiving meal as well or better than me. I hate having a horrible bad cold. So I don't need to be fixing food for anybody I like or love.
I was looking forward to cooking these brussels sprouts, and crockpot dressing. We shall see what happens, though. Hopefully Bruce can fix those.
Not being active and bustling around is so hard for me. Feeling like I want to nap all the time is just yucko. The problem is that if I nap, then I can't sleep later. Last night I kept waking up every two hours, probably because my throat was so dry.
SO I will end this whine-fest. Hope y'all all have happy turkey days!!
