When I was a little girl and the rain would be making me gloomy, Mom would chant "Rain Rain Go Away! Come again Another Day!"
We had a gully-washer of a day yesterday. When I checked the rain guage today it said more than 2 inches fell.
Fortunately, we were still not seeing the heaviest rain when we got home from Kroger. However, I had to admire Michael's driving as he expertly got the car backed up to the garage door for easy, dry unloading:
I guess it was just as well it was rainy, because Michael and I spent most of the day doing schoolwork. I don't mind helping him, but it really bites when his book doesn't have the answer and we have to Google everything.
Then, just as I was needing to get downstairs and start dinner, Michael casually mentioned he needed me to type up his paper about Emily Dickinson for English. I started typing. Next thing I know I hear these words: "Oh yeah, we're supposed to analyze that poem, too. I don't know how to do that."
What poem?!?
"I Heard A Fly Buzz."
So I had to give a quick poetry tutorial. Yikes.Sometimes that master's in English comes in handy.

Lots to do, as I got no work done over the weekend - my work, that is. Happy Monday y'all!
