I was in Kinko's the other day waiting for a fax to go through and I picked up a nearby book and started reading about Gratitude, and how it can change your life. I don't know if that is true, but I started trying to consciously practice a meditation of gratitude every day, and I mean to continue it.
It can't hurt. It might help. Who knows?
Cultivate the Healing Power of Gratitude from Deepak Chopra is one place to start, if you want to explore this.
I have had so many tough things to deal with this year, and I will be glad to see the end of 2013, but I also have seen a lot of blessings that have deepened my faith.
These are some of the many things I am grateful to God for:
Good friends who prop me up when I am faltering
Having my mother in my life to help me through tough times and share my joy
My beautiful children
My house, which is comfortable and safe [despite being haunted! LOL]
My ability to stay focused on what's important [people, not stuff]
My ability to meet new and interesting/good people
The ability to write about things and work them out either in a blog or poem - this helps my sanity
Good clients who make my writing jobs fun
//What are you grateful for? Maybe it's time to make a list,
thanks to my cousin Mark for sharing his photography gifts...
