Poured rain all morning before slacking off around lunchtime. Everyone else in America gets snow. We get cold rain. Makes my son grumble.
Not me. Not really.
You don't have to shovel rain to get out of the driveway.
Michael got his Christmas present early. I got my old Mazda fixed and now it is HIS. He is so proud. It's still my car but he gets to drive it. I will post a photo tomorrow. We debated about fixing it or not. It needed a new engine. Still, we decided that putting a new engine into a car we already know was a wise decision, rather than buying some crappy old car we know nothing about. Getting it fixed cost about $2500 but he should be able to drive it a few years before it dies. We see it as an investment.

A friend of mine posted about eating lunch at The Varsity and I got to thinking about their onion rings and.... I went and got lunch for us at The Varsity that's close to us, off Jimmy Carter Blvd.
Mom and Mike ate chili dogs. I pigged out on onion rings and fries.
Then I had a nap.
When my mom and dad were dating, they often ate at The Varsity. Dad was poor and couldn't really afford to take mom anywhere fancy. They would split a chili dog and a frosted orange.
The Varsity gives you chopped raw onions to put on your chili dog, and a lot of those didn't get put on the dogs, so when Lola was sniffing around the table later, she pulled down the little pile of onions and then backed up, not wanting to eat them. LOL
Just realized Lola's named well:
L = laugh
O = out
L = loud
A = always
Yep, that's our Lola. Below - how Lola and Mike like to watch movies...
[I can hear Lola thinking, let me sniff you Granny because you might have some bits of food on you... and I would lick them right off and get you cleaned up...]
