Shhhhh... be vewy quiet... that's the sound around here for the past couple of days. Any sort of noise sounds really loud.
Michael and I started watching a series on Netflix called The Blacklist. Thank goodness the whole first season is on Netflix. I hate watching regular TV with commercials, and we don't TIVO. I haven't watched a one hour drama on regular TV in many years, but I have to say it's a fascinating series. The level of writing is excellent. James Spader is delightfully evil...but not.
Fall is truly here. I am turning on the heat in the mornings to get the upstairs warm so Michael will get in the shower. Taking Lola to walk is pleasant because there's a nice breeze instead of throat-closing humidity.
One of the neighbors dropped by yesterday and interrupted our dinner. That was OK. We like him and we had a pleasant chat. It only occurred to me after he left that we had a weird supper. I made meatballs in broth, because I had some ground beef I had to use. Then I opened a can of baked beans, plus made some homemade guacamole. Everything was tasty, just not a typical American supper, I don't think.
Michael is babysitting most of the weekend for a friend of mine. He will make some nice $ but we will miss him around here.
Tennessee plays Georgia in Athens this afternoon. I will be glued to the TV cheering on the Bulldogs. If they lose, my friends in Tennessee will give me HELL. If the Dawgs win I can gloat.
ADDENDUM: Georgia WON! GLOATING!!
Love this song and this version is cute:
