The weekend has seemed to just fly by and now it's Sunday night.
Sigh.
Michael got called in to work.
I put on a pot of chili in the crock pot, and the house smells great.
Michael and I went to Kroger this afternoon and I was reaching for some cheese that was hanging on a wall in the deli department. As I did, I realized, with momentary horror, that someone else - someone also wearing a red shirt - was reaching for the exact same package. "I'm so sorry!" I stammered, just before I realized there was a mirror there. Duh.
I had apologized to myself.
I immediately looked around and Michael was standing there laughing at me. "You were saying sorry to yourself Mom!" he chortled.
I had to chuckle.
When we told Mother, she belly-laughed. She had once seen herself in a mirrored wall, while walking in the mall, and thought to herself, Now who is that lady? She looks familiar!
It's been a weekend of silly mistakes.
Yesterday, I was at work, alone, and heard banging. I thought someone was trying to break the door down and attack me. ACK! I ran and peeped at the door, terrified, and it was a young lawyer who had forgotten his key, pounding on the door. Good thing there was a glass panel and I could see him. I was fixing to call security.
Friday night I made a pecan pie with too much Karo syrup and it turned out gooey. Tasty, but gooey.
Lola got a new collar! Her old one was getting kinda tight. She needs to lay off the Ritz crackers.
The collar is red and black - UGA colors!
Proud to be a UGA alumni. Except when I get a call asking me to donate.
