Very quiet around here. The weather has turned cold again, which is not unusual for March. Last week there were days where we ran the air conditioner, and Friday night we had to turn the heat back on.
Years ago there was a "woman's magazine" -- Ladies Home Journal, McCall's, Woman's Day were just some of them -- and it ran a column called MY PROBLEM AND HOW I SOLVED IT. I loved to read that column. I have always been fascinated by real stories of real experiences.
I put this on my Facebook page:
I'm looking for blog ideas. I like to write about things other than my life because right now my life is very quiet and uninteresting. Have you ever had a problem and then solved it in an unusual or creative way, something that others would find interesting and/or useful? I'd love to write about it if you'd like to share. PM me.
I'm always interested in real stories. Leave me a comment with your email address and I will get in touch. I have to approve all comments before they are published and if you don't want your comment published that's fine; just give me your correct email address. I will keep it private.
Just FYI -- I am not interested particularly in weight loss stories or parenting stories right now. Those are such individual experiences that they don't always translate to others -- typically. I'm also not interested particularly in "hacks" like the right way to peel a banana.
I would rather hear something like "I couldn't relax enough to meditate until I tried _____" or "I decided to change career paths and this is how I figured out what to do" or "I wanted to be part of the Tiny House movement and this is how I did it."
Just looking to make my little corner of the world a little better...
