Every morning when I power up the computer I click on Yahoo and scan the headlines before I click on Mail. I am always amazed and sometimes amused. Often I am super annoyed. It seems more and more, lately, that the headlines focus on some horrible crime, often abuse of a child or an animal. I refuse to read stories like that. I know it goes on, and it's horrible, but reading about it makes me cry.
I also don't want to read about the details of someone's divorce. In general, I think if you're a celebrity, you invite fame and then you have no right to complain about it when your privacy is violated. However, I wince when I read about a celebrity divorce. I've never gone through a divorce, but I've been through some bad breakups that depressed me -- and I know if I took those feelings and magnified them a hundred times it might touch on the horrible pain of divorce. So I feel sorry for anyone going through that.
I remember the old newspaper credo about headlines "If it bleeds, it leads." Horrible philosophy.
The older I get, the less I want to read about anyone's heartache. No thank you. I've seen and experienced a lot of it in my life. Now I want peace, as much as possible. It's hard to find in my house these days. My son is going through a very very tough time in his life right now. Please pray/send good energy to him. We talk every day, even though he doesn't live here any more.
Finally, I am thoroughly disgusted by the Women's March and other anti-Trump demonstrations. He wasn't president 5 minutes before that crap started.
These are the FACTS. He appointed a women to head up the building of Trump Tower in NYC more than 30 years ago. His campaign was run by a woman -- the first time in history a woman ran a winning presidential campaign. Does he say a lot of rude, crude, cringe-worthy stuff that sounds misogynist? Yes. I hate that. However, his actions speak louder than his words, IMHO. At least give him a few months or years to be president before you rally against him.
The bible says "Judge not, lest ye be judged." AMEN.
