August was a truly stressful month. Mom was in the rehab place. I was sick with a virus and then an ear infection. Michael was trying to find a job. Too much going on, and all of it nerve-wracking.
September came in with some cooler temps and progress all around.
I am feeling better. Not 100% but much better.
Michael started a new retail job last week. It's a full-time job, which is new for him, but it offers full benefits after 90 days and I am hopeful it's a keeper. He likes it so far, although it's a bit tough on his feet.
Bruce came in yesterday for a visit. The photo below shows us chatting in the little courtyard area of Mom's rehab place. It's a nice area, with benches and chairs, flowering plants, a fountain, etc. She has a bit more work to do on being fully independently mobile, but I am hopeful she will come home soon.
Learned last night that one of my Houston cousins was flooded out of her home, but she is okay. Thank goodness for that. Still praying for everyone in Texas and Louisiana.
Life goes on.
